Drawing on their love of Pacific Northwest History and blending their disparate indie rock influences (Eric worships Howe Gelb and Janet Weiss, while Sam adores Lonely Forest and Keith Moon), Swinson and the Expedition is historic concept rock that has the looseness of a 1960s country house band, an element of basement psychedelia, and the intensity and rage of the Vikings from which Eric traces his ancestry.
